New Patient Information
A valid GP or specialist referral is required prior to booking your appointment with us.
An initial consultation is always required before undergoing abdominal surgery, regardless of your GP’s assessment or referral. This gives you the opportunity to discuss your symptoms, concerns and medical history with Mr Stein. He will assess your condition, review any relevant investigations and determine the most appropriate treatment pathway for you.
To help us make the most of your appointment, please bring:
- Your referral letter, if it has not already been sent
- Relevant scans, reports or test results
- A list of your current medications
- Your Medicare and private health insurance details

Consultation Fees
We provide clear information about consultation fees when booking your appointment. Fees and applicable rebates are also provided in writing with your appointment confirmation, so you know what to expect before your visit with us.
If you would like to enquire about our fees, please call the rooms and our friendly team can talk you through the costs and applicable rebates.
Please note that private health insurance does not cover outpatient specialist consultations.
